Nevis is a wonderful place to have a honeymoon, but it is also a great place to get married. With the flowers, water,
beaches, and the
sunsets you couldn't paint a more perfect backdrop. The settings can be as formal as in London or Paris, or just a very casual laid back affair. The food that can be catered from many hotels is definitely
world class at a fraction of the cost in the states or Europe. And speaking of costs.......the flowers are so abundant and inexpensive that you could make your honeymoon bed out of them. Mind the bugs :)
There is far less bureaucracy than in the States or Europe, however there are a few requirements (see below), but these can be met very quickly and efficiently. Many hotels throughout
Nevis have special wedding and or honeymoon packages, and they REALLY go out of their way to make it special. I have seen a couple of weddings in Nevis, and I was FLOORED, it was like Mardi Gras, everybody on
Nevis will wish you "all de' best", whether they know you or not. Don't be surprised by cards and little presents from people that you hardly know. A wedding in Nevis is truly a blessed and special
occasion...................too bad we can't learn a bit more from the Nevisian culture! Nevis Marriage Legal Requirements
