As you can tell by looking at these photos, we have lots of family members and friends visit us while in Nevis. Of course the first place we take them is to the beach bar at Oualie Beach Hotel. Not only are the drinks inexpensive, but so is the food...and both are good too. Another reason we take the to Oualie first, is so that they can get a real feel for what the island of Nevis is like...especially the people of Nevis. You see, what makes Nevis so special are the Nevisians themselves. Oualie Beach Resort has a way of mixing people from all over the world together in one big martini glass. You have the tourists, the ex-pats, and the "locals" all in one bar...shaken but not stirred. Oualie truly is the best place to get a glimpse at Nevis from the inside, and not a "put-on" view point like that MONSTER tourist trap hotel that those not in the know think of as Nevis. |
