Mariners Pub is very similar to the Sanddollar Bar, it is located on a beautiful beach, has great music, and lots of people. Mariners or the Pub as it is locally referred to, is located on the main road just two miles from Oualie Bay. It too is a bit difficult to locate as it sits back from the road, however never fear, look for the traffic jam or listen for the music and you will soon find yourself having a cold one on the beach. Mariners has a large dance floor, but for all intents and purposes is outside. Yes there is a roof and walls, but it is almost completely open to the beach. The dress is casual to almost nonexistent, remember it is a beach. If you get to hot from dancing or just need to give your ears a break, there are several picnic tables outside for you to relax on. They really don't have too much food on the inside, but there are always few vendors selling food outside at some makeshift food stands. Try the fish, freshly caught and grilled for about $ 1.75, it is as good as you can get at a four star restaurant. The chicken is damn good too. |
